Nigeria President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government.
Recalls that the president on February 14 departed Abuja Nigeria for Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital where he participated in the Summit.
Five days after his departure, Tinubu on Monday arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport at about 04:00 pm local time.
He was received by top government officials including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu and the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle.
Arogidigba Global Journal reports that the president returned to the country amid the protest in many parts of the country following the economic hardship bedeviling citizens.
Recall that angry Nigerians had earlier blocked major roads in Ibandan the Oyo State capital and Otukpo, Benue State asking the Federal Government to urgently address the hardship.
