In the spirit of oneness and sportsmanship, the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded local government council elections in Delta State, Apostle Joshua Ogbodo, has congratulated Prince Godwin Ogorugba of the Peoples Democratic Party on his emergence as Chairman-Elect of Isoko North Local Government Council.
In a congratulatory message on his Facebook page to the winner, Ogbodo prayed for wisdom for the Chairman-Elect to pilot the affairs of the Council and deliver democratic dividends to the people.
He wrote, “I want to use this medium to congratulate the chairman-elect of Isoko North LGA.
“I pray that God gives you the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Isoko nation and deliver the dividends of democracy to all,” he stated.
It will be recalled that the Returning Officer for Isoko North, Dr Felix Omoruwo of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), declared Prince Godwin Ogorugba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner on Saturday, having polled 38,126 votes to beat his main challenger, Apostle Joshua Ogbodo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 2,206 votes.
