A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe on Wednesday showered encomium on President Bola Tinubu for signing the South East Development Commission (SEDC) bill into law.
Okelekwe who gave the commendation via a statement made available to Journalists noted that “President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable development and unity across the nation is truly commendable, and his support for the South East region through this important legislation is a testament to his dedication to national progress and inclusivity.
“By establishing the South East Development Commission, President Tinubu has taken a significant step towards addressing the unique developmental challenges faced by the people of the South East region and promoting economic growth, infrastructure development, and social well-being in the area.
“This landmark initiative will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the lives of millions of Nigerians and contribute to the overall prosperity and stability of our nation.”
Okelekwe who expressed excitement over the timely enactment of the law, argued that President Tinubu’s assent to the SEDC bill is a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to development and unity across the country.
The APC leader who was the APC senatorial candidate for Anambra Central in the 2023 general elections, also commended the 10th Assembly’s Deputy Speaker, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, leaders and members of the South East Caucus for championing the SEDC bill, which aimed at addressing the developmental challenges in the South East geopolitical zone.
He maintained that President Tinubu’s ” unwavering commitment to prioritizing the needs and aspirations of all the regions of Nigeria is commendable and sets a shining example for all leaders to follow.
“His vision and foresight in championing the cause of development and progress for all Nigerians, regardless of their geographical location, is truly inspiring and reflects your deep-seated commitment to the unity and prosperity of our great nation.”
