GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by Anglia Ruskin University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council. We are offering GBP10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya and Pakistan, who will enrol into Anglia Ruskin University in the 2025-26 academic year. The scholarships are available for all full-time postgraduate taught master’s programmes.
Benefits
£10,000 in the form of a fee deduction from the tuition fees for the first year of study.
This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or any early payment discount offered by Anglia Ruskin University.
Duration: The GREAT Scholarship applies to the first year of your full-time postgraduate taught degree.
Requirements
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:
- Be a citizen and resident of Nigeria.
- Have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area
- Meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
- Establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
- Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
- Be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships
- As an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about their own experience of studying in the UK
Selection Process
Key dates:
- The deadline to complete the application form is 25 May 2025 end of day UK time.
- We will aim to let you know if your scholarship application has been successful two weeks after the application is closed.
How we assess your application:
- The application will be assessed by a panel of ARU staff. We will notify the British Council of our decision.
- Applications will be ranked based on the details provided in the application form and supporting documentation, in line with the GREAT Scholar Profile published by British Council. We may also invite you to an interview to talk about your application.
