The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders, CONYL, the umbrella body of all the youth groups drawn across the six geopolitical zones has sympathised with President Bola Tinubu, the Ministry of Women Affairs and the people of Anambra State over the death of Nigerians who lost their lives in Maitama and Okija stampedes during the sharing of palliatives in Abuja and Anambra State.
CONYL described the unfortunate stampedes as a loss too many families and Nigerians.
The Youth body in their statement issued in Owerri on Sunday by the President General of CONYL Comrade Goodluck Ibem commends Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim for repositioning the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The PG said that in just few months in office, the Minister has shown that she came fully prepared to served humanity which is evidence in the transformative approaches being deployed in handling issues that relates to the well-being of women, children, and the aged.

According to him the recent development and results so far have shown that the Ministry of Women Affairs is living up to her bidding of taking care of Gender and Children issues.
He said that Issues affecting Persons with Disabilities and the Aged are handled with utmost care and seriousness noting that the Ministry have lived up to its expectations both at the National and International levels.
He said under the present leadership of Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman, the Ministry has activated programmes that have helped to build a Nigerian Society that guarantees equal access to social, economic and wealth creation opportunities to all Nigerians, irrespective of gender
He said We can confidently attest that the Ministry places premium on protection of the Nigerian children, the aged and persons living with various degrees of disabilities.
CONYL said that the appointment of Hajiya Sulaiman Ibrahim to serve as Minister of Women Affairs has been that of putting a round peg in a round hole adding that she has indeed performed creditably.
The group said, “We sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, the Ministry of Women Affairs, the good people of Anambra State over the death of Nigerians who were mostly women and children that lost their lives in Maitama and Okija stampedes during the sharing of palliatives in Abuja and Anambra State.”
The body expressed their appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim who is well educated, experienced, equipped with requisite knowledge and expertise to serve in his administration.
