Aminu Hammayo, newly sworn-in Secretary to the Bauchi State Government (SSG), on Monday, officially assumed office at the Governor’s Office, escorted by friends, relations, and well-wishers, including top government officials.
At a brief ceremony, his friends and associates, including the Member of the House of Representatives representing Dambam/Misau Federal Constituency, Hon Bappa Aliyu Misau, State Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Hassan El-Yaqub SAN, District Head of Yelwan Duguri, Ibrahim Y. M. Baba, and the Member representing Dambam/Jalam/Dagauda Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Ahmed Garba, commended the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, for appointing Aminu Hammayo as the SSG, expressing optimism that he will deliver even beyond expectations.
The two Permanent Secretaries who are directly under the SSG’s Office, Special Services and Political, Shehu Yahaya Jalam and Alh Ali Ranga, respectively, Permanent Secretary, Government House, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination, Jibrin Fanti, among others, pledged to support the new SSG in implementing the many developmental projects and programmes of the Governor for sustainable growth and development.
Also, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr Aminu Hassan Gamawa, and the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, Alh Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala, all enjoined staff of the SSG’s Office and the Government House, as well as the Governor’s Office, to support the SSG to succeed.
Aminu Hammayo, in his brief remarks, appreciated the Governor for finding him worthy of the appointment to serve in that capacity, requiring the people of the state and other political appointees to support him in delivering the mandate of the office for the good of the state.
The SSG also reiterated his utmost loyalty to the Governor and the Government as it strives to leave Bauchi State better than it met it.
In the same vein, the new Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala, officially resumed duties at the Governor’s Office on Monday.
In a brief ceremony held inside the office, Hashimu Yakubu called on staff of the Governor’s Office and other offices in the Government House who have direct links to his office to support him.
He was accompanied to the Government House and then to the Governor’s Office, where his office is located, by stakeholders, family, and friends from his local government area of Alkaleri.
Those that accompanied the PPS included the Chairperson of Alkaleri LGC, Hassan Bajama, Chairman Stakeholders, Alkaleri Local Government, Alh Baba Isa Dan Isan Duguri, Member representing Duguri Gwana in the State House of Assembly, Hon Abdullahi Dan, District Head of Yelwan Duguri, Ibrahim Y. M. Baba, among others.
The stakeholders appreciated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for appointing Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala as the new Principal Private Secretary (PPS), expressing optimism that he will deliver on his mandate.
As a retired Permanent Secretary and one-time Special Adviser to the Governor, they expressed optimism that the PPS will not fail them, pledging their support and loyalty.
The new PPS, Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala, in his remarks, appreciated the governor for finding him worthy of the appointment to enable him to further serve in a more sensitive position in the administration.
He assured that he will serve with the utmost loyalty and trust in him in order to ensure that the objective of his appointment is achieved.
He, then, appreciated his people for the support exhibited and requested them to continue to support the governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, and his administration for the sustainable growth and development of the state.
