Authorities of the Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin has assured parents and guardians of students in the school of adequate safety of their children and wards.
This followed the confusion that trailed the murder of the 21-year-old female student of Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Kwara State, Miss Mojisola Awesu.
The deceased student was said to have signed out of her school as a final-year student two weeks ago.
The Police had confirmed that the deceased was lured to Ilorin for a night party purportedly organized by both the Al-Hikmah and Summit University.
However, she was said to have been killed by a male lover, Adebayo Happiness, who was introduced to her by another female friend, Blessing O.
Her corpse was discovered at a refuse dump near Aleniboro Area in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
In its reaction, the management of the Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, said that “the suspect, Adebayo Happiness, must have used the name of the University to lure the girl to achieve his devilish act”.
