The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has made four demands following the arrest of its president, Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, on Monday.
The NLC president was on his way to the UK for an official assignment.
Amid several meetings by other members of the union, they have now listed fresh demands.
In a post on X, the NLC wrote: “Our demands:
“1. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of NLC president, Comrade Joe Ajaero.
“2. Immediate implementation of the new national minimum wage.
“3. Immediate reversal of the price of petrol.
“4. Reversal of illegal hike in electricity tariff.”
