Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will begin their chase for the coveted gold medal in the men’s football event at the 13th African Games against Uganda on Thursday (today).
The encounter is slated for the Ghana Sports Stadium, Legon.
South Sudan and Uganda are the other teams in Group B.
Head coach, Ladan Bosso named a 20-man squad for the event earlier this week.
Captain Daniel Bameyi, Daniel Daga and Nathaniel Nwosu are some of the old players who made the squad.
The Flying Eagles emerged as runners-up in the men’s football event at the 12th African Games held in Rabat, Morocco, in October 2019, narrowly losing to Burkina Faso in the final.
Hosts Ghana, Congo, Benin Republic and The Gambia are in Group A.
