AFCON: Super Eagles to play Cameroon in knockout stage

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the knockout stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Cameroon defeated Gambia 3-2 in the last match of Group C to finish in second position with four points, five points behind Senegal who top Group C with nine points after defeating Guinea 2-0 on Tuesday night.

This means the three-time champions Super Eagles will battle Cameroon on Saturday, January 27 in the Knockout stage at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny

The Super Eagles of Nigeria finished in second position in Group A with 7 points despite beating Guinea Bissau 1-0 on Monday.
