Angola head coach, Pedro Goncalves, has admitted that his side will be up against a tough Super Eagles side at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
The Black Antelopes will be up against the Super Eagles in a Round of 16 contest at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Saturday.
The Portuguese gaffer stated that Nigeria has a number of quality players in Europe which makes the Super Eagles a difficult opponent.
“Nigeria is a colossus of African football, although it had some difficulties before the AFCON, but what is certain is that Nigeria is an African colossus full of talented players, many of them playing in the Premier League or other leagues in Europe, such as the Italian league and the Portuguese league,” Goncalves was quoted by A Bola.
The Black Antelopes have impressed in Cote d’Ivoire, winning three out of four games.
They thrashed Namibia 3-0 in the Round of 16 to secure a date with the Super Eagles.
