The Super Eagles have been handed a massive boost ahead of Saturday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations showdown against Cameroon following William Troost-Ekong and Alhassan Yusuf’s return to team training.
The duo, Arogidigba Global Journal can report, trained with their teammates at the Police College in Cocody, Abidjan, on Wednesday night.
Troost-Ekong missed the Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Monday due to a knee injury.
The PAOK Salonica centre-back was replaced in the starting line-up by Kenneth Omeruo.
Yusuf sustained a thigh injury in Nigeria’s opening game against Equatorial Guinea.
The game was his first competitive appearance for the Super Eagles.
The Royal Antwerp of Belgium player missed Nigeria’s last two games against Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau due to the setback.
