Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has revealed left-back Zaidu Sanusi will be further assessed ahead of the side’s clash with Cote d’Ivoire.
Sanusi missed the Super Eagles semi-final win against South Africa due to a minor hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old, however, trained with his teammates on Friday.
“Zaidu trained with the team yesterday. We have another training later, we will check if he can play,” Peseiro told reporters on Saturday.
The defender has made five appearances for Nigeria at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Nigeria will face hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the competition at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Sunday.
