A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr Martins Adewinle, has sued for support for the Ondo State governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the governorship primary of the party.
This came as he led the Ikale-born inspirational singer and “Mabaja, Ma babinu” crooner, Toyin Ojagbemi to Governor Aiyedatiwa for stage performance at the governor’s declaration at the Arcade, off Ondo State House of Assembly, ahead of the April 24 governorship primary.
Adewinle, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of West African Petrogas Global Limited, said Aiyedatiwa was full of praises after the performance by Ojagbemi, whose lyrical single has direct bearing with the circumstances in which the governor has found himself.
He appreciated the governor for his love for the artist and his plans for the younger generation, for whom he had promised to create thousands of job opportunities.
The business mogul appealed to the people of Ondo State, particularly members of the APC, to choose wisely on who should be their governor in 2025, adding that in view of the transformational strides of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, the people should work to re-elect him to take Ondo State to the next level in the comity of states.
Meanwhile, party supporters in Ode-Aye have called on leaders and members to openly declare for Aiyedatiwa’s ambition to governor Ondo State.
The supporters appreciated Dr Adewinle, Chief Tayo Enikuomehin, Honourable Oladipupo Okunnuga and others who contributed in varying degrees in the effort to see Ode-Aye represented, while they challenged other chieftains of the party to come out openly and tell the world where they belong.
