Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and a Member, British House of Lords, Professor the Lord Alton of Liverpool among other dignitaries will on Wednesday grace the launching of Gureje IV Luxury Chocolate in London, United Kingdom.
According to a statement made available to Tribune Online on Sunday, the launching is being organised by HRM Oba Dokun Thompson Gureje IV in partnership with Beech’s Fine Chocolates of Preston, UK and it will be taking place on Wednesday between 9.30am and 11.30am at Church House, Harvey Godwin Suite, Deans Yard, Westminster, London SW1P 3NZ.
According to the statement, the launching of the chocolate brand is in furtherance to the Cocoa Renaissance Initiative founded by Oba Thompson, the Oloni of Eti-Oni, Osun State.
The initiative reportedly remains the oldest cocoa plantation in Nigeria, which has been producing cocoa since 1896 to deepen the cocoa culture for prosperity creation opportunities and shared value purposes through collaboration for transformation of cocoa producing regions.
The statement reads: “Beech’s Fine Chocolates has been making quality confectionery for over 100 years as a family owned independent British chocolate manufacturer of a wide range of products, which includes everyone’s favourites such as their sumptuous chocolate truffles, delicious fondant cremes and double enrobed chocolate ginger.
“GUREJE IV Luxury Chocolate Launch will offer an initial 4 luxury bars of 70 per cent dark chocolate, 35 per cent milk chocolate with orange flavour and 35 per cent milk chocolate with salted caramel to be added to Beech’s online shop and also through their numerous distributors, which is the advantage of 100 years.”
