Wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Folu Adeboye, has launched the ‘Ladies in Tech Africa Programme’ (LITA) to empower 76,000 women across Africa.
This initiative, in partnership with Africa Missions Global and The Incubator Hub, offers a free three-month tech training program to provide women with in-depth training in high-demand tech skills through an online learning platform.
The CEO of African Missions Global, Mrs. Eyono Fatayi-Williams, stated that by providing free training, the initiative aims to remove financial barriers for women pursuing careers in technology.
“The programme goal is to create a pipeline of skilled female tech talents, accelerating Africa’s digital transformation and sustainable development.
“The Ladies in Tech Africa Programme, aligned with Africa Missions Global’s Horizon 2033 initiative, seeks to empower 100 million Africans with digital and creative economy skills by the year 2033.
“The programme also aims to support female tech entrepreneurs through mentorship and career guidance, playing a crucial role in driving innovation, economic growth, and social development across the continent,” she added.
Fatayi-Williams highlighted that Africa Missions Global is a non-profit international organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of the underprivileged in Africa and worldwide through community development and empowerment initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
