The 110 newly promoted police officers in the Adamawa State Command were on Tuesday decorated with their new ranks by the state Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo.
Among those decorated during the event which took place at the Police Officers Mess in Yola included 15 Superintendents of Police, SPs, who were promoted to the ranks of Chief Superintendent of Police, CSPs; and 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police, DSPs, who were decorated with their ranks of Superintendents of Police, SPs.
The CP also decorated 84 Assistant Superintendents of Police, ASPs, with their new ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSPs.
The Commissioner of Police congratulated the officers and charged them to be dedicated and exhibit the highest sense of professionalism in their respective duties.
“Much has been given to you and much is expected from you,” the commissioner told the officers.
Responding on behalf of those promoted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Numan, CSP Alfred Futuwe, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Police Service Commission, and the Force Management team for finding them worthy for their promotion.
