Requirements
To be considered for the Abdullahi Tanko Umaru Memorial Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a first or second-year student at any tertiary institution
- Be enrolled in any field of humanities and social sciences (Non-STEM)
- There is no minimum CGPA requirement to apply for this Scholarship.
- Students who may have struggled academically are especially encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
Timeline:
- Submit your application here by February 5, 2024.
- Successful applicants will be notified by March 5, 2024.
Application Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Write a response to three essay questions:
- What are your academic and career goals and how have your friends and family
influenced and inspired them? (500 words maximum) - What does “leaving a good legacy behind” mean to you? (500 words maximum)
- Describe a problem you have solved or a problem you would like to solve. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution (500 words maximum).
- What are your academic and career goals and how have your friends and family
