Abdullahi Maikaba has threatened to quit his role as technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League outfit, Kano Pillars.
The Sai Masu Gida have struggled in recent outings.
The four-time NPFL champions have also struggled with finances following the unavailability of a substantive sports commissioner in the state.
Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso was recently appointed sports commissioner in Kano State
Maikaba attributed the team’s unimpressive form to the poor conducive atmosphere at the club.
“I need a conducive environment to work. I’m not conducive in Kano,” he stated.
” I’m discussing with the management in days. If it warrants terminating the contract, I will do that.
“There is a new and young commissioner of sports in Kano now, things might change.”
Kano Pillars have slipped down from a title contender to ninth position on the NPFL table.
They have garnered 44 points from 32 games this campaign.
