The management of Aba Power, Abia State has expressed concern over the recent power outages in the commercial city, promising that everything was been done to restore normal power supply.
In a statement signed by Chijioke Ogbodo, public relations officer of Aba Power, operators of the Aba Ring Fencing, the company said the recent power outages in the city was as a result the damaged TCN line which was a backup power supply.
The statement read in part, “We understand the frustration and inconvenience that you may have experienced, especially with the recent power outages due to the damaged TCN line which has impacted the backup power supply to our customers.
“Since our launch in February 2024, we have remained committed to providing reliable power to all our areas of coverage. Unfortunately, we have encountered significant challenges primarily due to persistent gas shortages, acts of vandalism, and the recent widespread power outage caused by TCN’s damaged line.”
The company said to checkmate this, it is making progress with alternative gas suppliers to ensure uninterrupted power generation.
In addition, Aba Power said it is investing in enhanced security measures to protect her facilities from vandalism, stressing that it is working closely with relevant stakeholders to restore power supply soon and fortify the power infrastructure in the city.
While apologizing to its customers for any hardship the outages may have caused, Aba Power assured it is working diligently to resolve the present problems and restore adequate power supply to the city and it’s environs.
