A surveillance company responsible for protecting Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) facilities from illegal bunkering and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region has commissioned 3,000 intelligence and security officers.
The surveillance company, Wis-South Security Ltd, during the commissioning of the second batch of trainees at a passing-out parade at Enyinda International College, Ogbogoro, Rivers State, urged the graduates to combat attacks on critical national assets affecting the oil industry.
Addressing the graduates at the commissioning ceremony, the Director of Operations, Chief Apaingolo Womotimi Gabriel, represented by the Director of Special Duties, Mr. Million Henry, commended the graduating trainees for enduring the rigors of their training.

He emphasized that the training has equipped the officers with skills in intelligence gathering, report writing, and self-defense mechanisms, and urged them to apply the experience gained to fulfill the company’s core mandate for NNPCL assets.
The representative of the Director of Operations urged the graduating trainees to collaborate with other security agencies to uphold the mandate of Wis-South Security Ltd.
He also advised them to ensure discipline, maintain integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic growth.
He expressed appreciation to sister security agencies for their support and cooperation, which has created an enabling environment for Wis-South Security Ltd operatives to perform.
He also warned vandals to stay away from NNPCL assets in the oil-rich Niger Delta.
Mr. Million Henry praised the Director of Training, Gabriel Badom, for his effective drills and the good job done throughout the training and also inspected the parade.
The Guest of Honour, Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps Rivers State Command, Tanko Dantani, urged the newly commissioned operatives of Wis-South Security Ltd not to despise small beginnings.
He noted that they have received the basic training required for their operations and expressed satisfaction that the company has earned NNPCL’s confidence.
He encouraged the guards to maintain and sustain their efforts and advised them not to operate beyond their mandate or interfere with the operations of conventional security agencies.
The Chief Executive Officer of Wis-South Security Ltd, Chief Wisdom Joseph Owo, represented by the Director of Procurement, Apiri Dressman James, during the commissioning ceremony, instructed the graduates to follow the rules of engagement and obey the chain of command.
He stated that the training by Director of Training Gabriel Badom has equipped and toughened them to deliver on Wis-South Security Ltd’s mandate as NNPCL security.
