To make youths versatile in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) World, Lions Club District 404A3 has empowered youths of Anthony Village with comprehensive technological training in graphic design.
Speaking after the one month training, the club’s president, Ajiri-Uwuseba Ekene, emphasised its importance of the training, noting that in today’s digital age, the youths need to be vast with technology.
She encouraged the youths not to stop at this training, but explore and learn more in the technology field. “Go further with what you have learnt, keep learning, that is the only way to stay abreast in the digital space,” she admonished.
The district governor of the club, Dr. Folasade Shotomide, said the empowerment programme is for the youths to become better and responsible to the community and society at large.
Encouraging them to keep learning and keep practicing, Shotomide said: “While in school or on holiday, you can use the knowledge acquired from the training to get jobs either in the IT world, desktop activities or in graphics.
Keep practicing and keep looking out for opportunities like this to showcase what you have learnt.” The managing Director, Huntsville Technology, Ajose Olatunde Joseph, expressed delight in the designs showcased and advised them to go in line with what they have been taught.”
