Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has pardoned 14 inmates serving numerous jail phrases at Custodial Centres within the state.
The State Commissioner for Justice and Legal professional-Common, Mr. Labaran Magaji, stated this in an announcement on Monday in Lafia.
The commissioner stated the motion of the governor was in train of the powers conferred on him underneath sections 212 (1) and (2) of 1999 Structure (as amended).
In accordance with him, Sule had carried out the operate primarily based on the enabling powers conferred on him and in due session with the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy.
Magaji added that the governor had launched the inmates in commemoration of the Jan. 1, 2024 celebration.
He stated the launched inmates included: Sani Musa, Mohammed Maji, Danjuma Anthony, Ali Mohammed, Yahuza Turaki, Ibrahim Musa and Abdullahi Usman.
Others are: ThankGod Bananas, Usman Idris, Adamu Sule, Terzungwe Mshi, Shehu Abubakar, Zacheous Ayuba and Surajo Abdullahi.
The lawyer common urged the inmates to be legislation abiding and desist from commiting any crime that will carry them again to the correctional centres.
