In his message of condolence to the people of Ningi Emirate and, by extension, Bauchi State, Atiku Abubakar described the death of the late Emir of Ningi as a great loss, not only to the people of Bauchi State but to Nigeria as a whole, considering the fatherly roles he played in shaping society for the better.
He said, “It is with a heavy heart that I join the Ningi Emirate Council, the people of Bauchi State, and indeed all Nigerians, in mourning the departure of a revered leader, Alhaji Yunusa Mohammadu Danyaya, the Emir of Ningi.”
Atiku Abubakar stressed that “His passing is not only a significant loss to his immediate community but also the entire nation, given the legacy of peace, unity, and progress he championed throughout his life.”
According to him, “Late Alhaji Yunusa Mohammadu Danyaya was a beacon of wisdom and an embodiment of the noble qualities that define true leadership. As the Emir of Ningi, he ruled with a deep sense of justice, fairness, and compassion, ensuring that the needs of his people were always at the forefront of his agenda.”
“His tenure as Emir was marked by his unwavering commitment to the promotion of Islamic values, traditional culture, and the overall development of his Emirate,” he added.
The former Vice President added, “His contributions to the socio-economic growth of Bauchi State, particularly in fostering peace and unity among diverse groups, will forever be remembered.”
He also stated that “the late Emir was not just a traditional leader but also a father to all, whose counsel and guidance were sought after by many. His deep understanding of the intricacies of leadership and governance made him a key figure in the preservation of peace and harmony within the state and beyond.”
According to him, “His humility, despite his high status, and his approachable nature endeared him to many, both within the Emirate and across Nigeria.”
Atiku Abubakar added that, “As we come to terms with this great loss, I pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants the soul of our dear Emir eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus. May Allah also comfort his family, the Ningi Emirate Council, and the entire people of Bauchi State during this difficult time.”
He said, “Let us take solace in the knowledge that Alhaji Yunusa Mohammadu Danyaya lived a life of service to Allah and humanity, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.”
“It is my sincere hope that those he left behind will uphold his cherished values and continue to work towards the advancement of the Ningi Emirate and Bauchi State as a whole,” he added.
He concluded, reciting, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Indeed, from Allah, we come, and to Him, we shall return. May the Almighty bless us all with the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
