The wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti has lauded the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu for championing the rights and welfare of women across the country.
Mrs. Otti said it was the commanding demonstration of leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality, that the President’s wife led the historic signing of a compact with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) during the UNFPA Gender-Based Violence and Harmful Social practices held at the State House, Abuja.
She said the First Lady’s action underscored the significance of the unified action, emphasizing the reinvigorated and collective effort, supported by the UNFPA, to combat gender-based violence across Nigeria.
