An exchange of gunfire ensued, with the troops’ superior firepower resulting in the elimination of two terrorists and the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, one magazine loaded with 23 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and eleven motorcycles, one of which was destroyed during the operation.
Further checks revealed that the troops, in their tireless efforts and commitment to duty, have continued to deny the terrorists freedom of action and have significantly undermined their capabilities.
Nigerian Tribune also learnt that the Nigerian Army remains resolute in its determination to protect the nation’s territorial integrity and its citizens from the scourge of terrorist and insurgent groups.
