The leadership of the Coalition of Pro Biafra Organizations, COPROBIG, have urged Igbo leaders to wake up and begin collective legal process of self determination for the Igbo nation.
The Coalition made the call in a statement on Thursday in reaction to the call by a faceless group asking Igbos to leave Lagos State.
The Coalition comprises many pro-Biafra groups, including Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Eastern Peoples Congress (EPC), Billie Human Rights Initiative (BHRI), Biafra Liberation Council (BLC), Biafra Revolutionary Force (BRF), Biafra Revolutionary Organization (BRO), Biafra Reconciliation (BR) and Union of Biafra Scientists and Engineers.
The groups expressed displeasure over the silence of Otumba Gani Adams, Ooni of Ife, and Yoruba traditional, religious and opinion leaders on the planned destruction of Igbo lives and properties.
The statement said, “We wish to salute the courage of the south Western states of Nigeria nation by reminding the Igbo Biafrans another time to leave Nigeria state.
“We treated the Arewas quit notice from the northern region of the country in October 2017 with kid’s gloves and this time it is coming from the southern states of Nigeria. We view it as the consummation of absolute hatred and marginalization of Ndigbo.”
The Coalition also frowned at the kid glove treatment and reaction of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government and non arrest of “Igbo Must Go destructive protest” organizers, adding that it was an indication that they have the backing of the Federal Government.
They also called on Igbo diplomats to collaborate with other well meaning African patriots to save the Igbo nation in restoring the state of Biafra.
