The Action Alliance ( AA) has condemned the bombing of Action Peoples Party ( APP) secretariat in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital by unknown in persons on Monday morning.
The AA, in a statement by its National Chairman, Kenneth Udeze, charged the security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book, so as to serve as deterrence to other anti -democracy elements.
The Rivers State secretariat of the APP had reportedly be bombed in the early hours of Monday by unknown persons.
The opposition party also charged political actors in Rivers State to put the interest and peace of the state above their personal interest.
The party said “it is with deep feelings of sadness that we join other well-meaning Nigerians and Rivers people in particular to unequivocally condemn the riotous attack on our democracy, and the bombing of the State Secretariat of the Action Peoples Party.
“We hereby demand that the perpetrators should be fished out and made to face the law, to serve as a deterrent to those planning for another bout of attack or even a reprisal or vengeful attacks.
“We are particularly interested in requesting for more commitment from the federal government to the security and peace of Rivers State… as it has become imperative that the issue of the protection of live, liberty and critical national assets in Rivers State should become paramount in the agenda of the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
