A philanthropic organisation, JDM Global Foundation, has donated a water borehole to the people of Nkwoagu community, in Ebonyi State.
The facility sited at Christ Anglican Church was commissioned on August 10 by the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Abakaliki, Monday Nkwoagu.
Founder and chairperson of JDM Global Foundation, Jennifer Madubuko, said she was motivated by the need to give meaning to the lives of the less privileged and needy in the society.
Madubuko, who is based in the United States of America, was represented by Okey Ifionu, an Anglican cleric.
“JDM Global Foundation is more than just a non-profit organisation — we are a beacon of hope dedicated to spreading the gospel of compassion, empowerment and justice. Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to lead a life of dignity and purpose, regardless of their circumstances. “Through strategic initiatives focused on healthcare, education, feeding the hungry, and standing up for abused underage children, we are committed to improving the quality of life for the underprivileged and underserved communities worldwide,” she said.
The organisation has done philanthropic works in other parts of the South East and promises to expand its operations to every part of the country as the need arises.
Nkwoagu, who was accompanied by some of his clergymen and members of the community, thanked the Foundation for its initiative and commended its example to other privileged Nigerians.
He said by providing water to the people of Nkwoagu community, JDM Global has solved a major existential problem of residents. The Anglican prelate said that JDM’s action was a tangible way of winning souls for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Water is life, and by providing water to the people, you have shown them love which is the essence of the gospel,” the bishop told Madubuko.
The Vicar of Christ Anglican Church, Nkwoagu, Chukwunonso Okonkwo, and some of his parishioners, expressed joy and gratitude to JDM Foundation, describing the project as one that will improve the living standard of the parish and the community in general.
