The Arewa Young Leaders Forum, AYLF, has accused the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed of using his criticism against President Bola Tinubu to shift attention from the failure of his administration.
Arogidigba Global Journal recalls that Mohammed on Wednesday while flagging off the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, local council campaign in the state, slammed the Tnubu-led government, saying the Federal government has been “implementing policies that are causing pain to our people”.
Mohammed also claimed that Tinubu’s ‘anti-masses’ policies might jeopardise his chances of being re-elected in 2027.
Reacting, AYLF, in a statement issued on Friday by its President and General Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Maikifi and Dr. Anthony Apochi, respectively, said the governor’s outburst was a strategy to divert attention from his own failures.
The statement reads, “We strongly believe that Governor Mohammed’s utterances are a deliberate attempt to distract Nigerians from his own failures in governance.
“His administration has failed to provide basic amenities to the people of Bauchi State, and he is now trying to shift attention to the federal government. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
“No wonder, many have alleged that he is sponsoring the ongoing protests against the President, using his position and resources to fuel the unrest.
“This is a clear case of political mischief and an attempt to incite unrest and chaos in the country.”
