4 individuals have misplaced their lives whereas 59 others sustained damage in a lone accident alongside the Kaduna – Abuja Expressway on Tuesday.
The accident concerned a trailer (Iveco) with registration quantity MKA 99YS.
The Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Street Security Fee revealed that the accident occurred at Sabon Sara village alongside the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway round 3.30 am.
The Sector Commander, Kabir Nadabo, who confirmed the incident, mentioned, “Mixed rescue groups from RS1.113 Zhipe and RS1.17 Birnin Yero carried out the rescue operation.”
Nadabo defined that preliminary investigations attributed the crash to the overloading of products and passengers, presumably compounded by driver fatigue.
“Additional investigation revealed that 73 individuals have been concerned within the crash, with 59 sustaining accidents and, sadly, 4 dropping their lives,” Nadabo said.
He mentioned the injured have been taken to St. Gerard within the metropolis and AP Sensible Hospitals in Kaduna for medical consideration.
He expressed concern in regards to the recurring accidents through the festive season whereas noting the efforts of the FRSC to curb street visitors crashes and save lives.
