An unidentified elderly man has been caught via a CCTV camera stealing a phone from a restaurant in broad daylight.

The man who was dressed in native attire, had picked up a phone that was forgotten by a customer from the counter, while no one was looking.

In the video, he could be seen moving to the counter where the phone had been forgotten, like a customer who also came to buy food.

When he noticed that no one was watching him and the waiters were busy attending to other customers, he picked up the phone and headed for the exit.

Upon reaching the exit, he was seen running past the restaurant parking space to the road, unaware that the CCTV camera had recorded his act.

The video which has now gone viral and multiple social media platforms has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians.
