Cheques of N15 million were on Tuesday presented as a cooperative grant to each of the wards in Osogbo Local Government area of Osun state by Secretary to the state government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye.
In addition, 45 Point of Sales (POS), machines with startup cash of N25,000 were also distributed to some beneficiaries while, 37 people who have been trained in make-up, gele, manicure and pedicure also received certificates and equipment.
Speaking at the event tagged: “Imole Bibiire empowerment programme”, Igbalaye further hinted on the completion of hand pump borehole in Ward 10, motorised borehole in Ward 8, public toilet in Ward 7 and the registration of 500 aged ones in Osun health insurance scheme that would benefit inhabitants of the community.
According to him, “These initiatives underscore our unwavering commitment to holistic community development. We believe that true empowerment transcends mere rhetoric; it requires tangible investments in people’s lives and livelihoods.”

With the help of God, we are distributing over 45 POS machines coupled with startup cash, installing hand pump and motorized boreholes in strategic wards, and disbursing cooperative grants totaling over 15 million naira. ”
“Additionally, 500 aged individuals will be enrolled in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring access to vital healthcare services.
