The Elite Global AI, Africa’s pioneering AI education firm, has unveiled its groundbreaking AI initiative aimed at empowering 1 million individuals by 2030. In pursuit of this vision, the organization has commenced its inaugural phase by enrolling 1,000 students aged between 16 and 25 years.
The training which commenced on the 12th of June and concluded on the 21st of June, attracted participants from over 20 countries across four continents, including Nigeria, Cameroon, India, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa, among others.
The trainees engaged in courses covering AI for Education, AI for Business & Data Analysis, Content Creation & Digital Marketing, equipping them with essential AI skills crucial for succeeding in today’s job market.
Vwakpor Efuetanu, Chief Executive Officer of The Elite Global AI, emphasized the timeliness of such empowerment initiatives, particularly amidst high youth unemployment rates. “Nigeria currently contends with a significant youth unemployment crisis, with approximately 65% of our youth without jobs. Africa, potentially the world’s largest workforce, faces a similar challenge,” he stated.
The organization aims to provide free training to over 1 million students and has already made significant strides towards this goal. Over 1000 African students were recently trained in the first phase, representing a diverse cohort from multiple countries.
Brand Director of Marketing, Sales, and Content Production, Blessing Ikpia highlighted the collaboration with international partners like Extern and Ignite Excel, underscoring their role in preparing students for roles in Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Brand and Strategy Director and Ecowas Youth Ambassador, Emmanuel Agida reiterated the company’s global vision to prepare individuals for the evolving employment landscape shaped by AI. “Our goal is to empower as many people as possible through AI education, fostering financial literacy and demystifying AI accessibility,” he affirmed.
Looking ahead, CEO Vwakpor Efuetanu expressed optimism about the training outcomes, noting, “The testimonials from participants are incredibly fulfilling.” He announced plans to onboard an additional 5000 students for the next training phase, all at no cost. “We not only provide training but also facilitate internships, externships, and employment opportunities with our partners, enhancing their readiness for careers both within Nigeria and internationally.”
