A minor fire broke out at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos on Wednesday, June 26th. The incident occurred at the refinery’s effluent treatment plant (ETP).
Anthony Chiejina, the spokesperson for Dangote Refinery, confirmed in a signed statement that the fire was swiftly contained.
He assured the public that there is no cause for alarm, as the refinery continues to operate normally. Importantly, there were no injuries or harm reported among the staff on duty.
“We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, 26th of June. There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty,” Chiejina stated.
