Nestle Plc, maker of food products and beverages, has stepped up to the challenge of driving its 8th edition of products to spread as well as add value to residents, food vendors, and restaurant business operators in Sokoto, the seat of the caliphate.

It said the drive tagged “Nestle Professional, Making More Possible” was a platform deliberately focusing on enhancing business entrepreneurship for the target categories and to support, connect, and provide affordable solutions to their homes and cooking businesses using the Chicken, Star, and Jollof powder seasonings.

Speaking in his remarks while unveiling the three seasonings on Thursday at the Giginya Coral Hotel in Sokoto, the venue of the event, Nestle Professional Food Unit Manager, Mr Jubril Oladipupo, said it was all about adding value to their business and home cooking by supporting them with tools.

According to him, the essence was to connect with their local cuisines, provide affordable solutions to their businesses, and enhance their meals and services to customers.

“We are engaging them in the best and better way of packaging their meals using our products to achieve quality at an affordable cost.

“It is also to provide space to further improve their passion for achieving well-nourished cuisine through learning cooking methodology that also encourages food safety and hygiene,”  he explained.

He said the company had been to seven other states for the same exploit that provides the platform that shows its commitment to better connectivity with the local people for its products.

However, explaining further, Farida Musa, a professional chef, cook, and caterer, said it was imperative to observe proper food and kitchen hygiene for healthy cooking.

In the same vein, She took time to show how local cuisine, “Masa da Miyar Taushe” (fermented rice pancake), is being prepared.
