The newly elected Chairperson of Association of Health Records and Information Management Practitioners of Nigeria, Ogun State, Mrs Rasheedat Obabiyi, has called on the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, to implement the scheme of service for the health information managers in the state.
Obabiyi said that this move would no doubt boost the morale of these health workers and also aid their productivity.
The labour leader said the deliberate efforts of Gov Abiodun to make a difference in the health sector has helped a lot to improve on the wellbeing of residents of the state.
The union equally appreciated the governor for his commitment towards the welfare of the Health Records/ Information managers in the state, saying that such efforts have inspired them to strive for excellence and to serve diligently in their respected duty post.
Obabiyi, disclosed this on Friday in a statement sent to our correspondent.
She said, “As we embark on this new chapter, I am writing to seek your continued support most especially on the issue of implementation of scheme of service for Health Information Management professionals.
“Our association is committed to collection of accurate health data, prompt dissemination of notifiable diseases and precise presentation and interpretation of health data in all health facilities in Ogun State.
“With your support, we are confident that we can make significant progress towards achieving these goals and creating a brighter future for our members and the State at large.”
Obabiyi thanked the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, Dr Kayode Oladehinde, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr Elijah Ogunsola, Executive Secretary, Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board among other stakeholders for the success of the association’s elections held recently.
