In a heartwarming display of kindness, two Good Samaritans came to the aid of a pregnant woman with apparent mental illness who was in distress by the roadside in Suleja, Niger State.
The woman gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday with the help of the two volunteers who were undeterred by the public glare and the woman’s apparent mental health challenges.
One of the Good Samaritans, Ordinary Sadiq Asa, a radio presenter with an FM radio station in Suleja, shared the story on his Facebook page.
He wrote: “What a day in my life.
“A woman with mental illness was seriously wailing in pain at the point of giving birth and everyone running away… A good Samaritan woman and I took the bold steps to help her out against all odds.
“At last, it was successful. God is indeed wonderful. What a beautiful baby girl. We later took her to the General Hospital, Suleja, for further treatment.
“Alhamdulilah. I am so happy.”
