Ashraf Sanusi, son of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has expressed that the recent decision by the Kano State House of Assembly to abolish the five emirate councils signifies the correction of an injustice.
This reaction follows speculations about the possible reinstatement of his father as Emir of Kano, though no official statement has confirmed this yet.
Sources familiar with the situation indicated to the Leadership newspaper that Sanusi II is expected to be in Kano on Friday.
In response to these developments, Ashraf Sanusi took to Instagram to express his gratitude and seek divine protection for his father.
He prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the former Emir, invoking divine justice and seeking to shield him from deceit and ill intentions.
Ashraf’s post read:
“O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. By your hand an injustice has been corrected today Alhamdulillah.
“Ya Allah save the Emir of Kano, HH Muhammad Sanusi II from the evil & whispers of devils, the plots of deceivers and allow him to see through their shallow smiles. Ya Allah increase him in charity and increase him in piety, Ya Allah save him from the love of this world and increase him in the love of the hereafter.”
