The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Emevor Ward 7, in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, appreciating his efforts in infrastructural development across the state, particularly the Emevor-Orogun road in the community.
During a meeting of the PDP leaders, elders, and stakeholders in Emevor, the motion for the vote of confidence was moved by former Councillor in the Ward, Mr. Sylvester Ifode, and seconded by the Secretary-General of the Emevor Progress Union, EPU, Deacon Festus Okah.

The party members commended Governor Oborevwori for his impactful leadership and infrastructural development, highlighting the construction of Phase 1 of the Emevor-Orogun Road and the Ughelli-Asaba Road dualisation project. They expressed delight at the prospect of inaugurating the road during the one-year anniversary of the Governor’s administration.
However, they appealed to the Governor to consider awarding the second phase of the project, which would extend the road construction to the five villages in the Kingdom and to Orogun Town in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Additionally, four aspirants from the community indicated interest in contesting for the Chairmanship position in Isoko North Local Government Council. The aspirants include two Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Media, Comrade Nelson Egware and Comrade Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, as well as former Secretary to the Local Government and erstwhile Treasurer of the party in the Local Government, Chief Godwin Akamakusi, and Lagos-based businessman, Mr. Kennedy Obodo.
The party’s leader in the Ward, Dr. Paul Oweh, encouraged the aspirants to conduct their campaigns with love and urged them to avoid maligning one another, emphasizing their shared community ties.
Attendees at the meeting included Chief Emmanuel Erezi, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Beautification, Mr. Nelson Egware, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr. Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Joseph Ekowhiro, and Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Development, Pastor Mrs. Edirin Ifode, among others.
