A man identified as Toyin Eniafe was fatally shot by a security operative during a confrontation at a filling station in Lagos State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the deceased visited a filling station in the Obalende area of the state.
Subsequently, enraged youths in the vicinity, angered by the killing, went on a rampage and set two patrol vans belonging to the security operatives on fire.
These burnt vehicles reportedly belonged to the Department of State Security Service (DSS) operatives.

The Public Relations Officer in charge of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Tribune.
Hundeyin also stated that investigations had commenced into the killing but noted that nobody had been arrested as of Thursday afternoon.
The Police spokesperson, however, claimed that the burnt patrol vans didn’t belong to the police.
He said “Investigations have commenced. I don’t know the identity of the person that fired the shot yet.”
