Minister James, real names James Taiye Atoyebi is a fast rising gospel music act who says he is ready to set new standards in the industry with his new single, ‘Letter to Heaven’.
Atoyebi, who is also a business man and former radio presenter at King FM Ibadan, started out in 2006 as a secular singer in Ilorin with the stage name, Jamboreen, told Friday Treat that he has found solace in christ and is ready to spread the gospel to the end of the earth with his music. He kicked off his career in Ilorin, Kwara State but relocated to Ibadan where he established his musical prowess and recently heeded the call of God to go into Gospel music with the name Minister James.
Now, he has just released his first gospel single ‘Letter to Heaven’, a song about crying out to God. He is also working on new singles to preach the word of God, telling people about Christ.
“I intend to spread the gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth with my music. ‘Letter to Heaven’ is only the beginning. My fans should expect at least two more songs this year. I decided to write a ‘Letter to Heaven’ to cry to God about what Nigerians are currently facing in the country, asking for divine interventions. We need respite from insecurity, bad leadership, etc. The nation and the world urgently need God’s intervention”, he said.
