With the local government election in Oyo State held on Saturday, the state governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved Friday as a half-working day for all public and civil servants in the state.
The development contained in a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, held that government offices are to close by noon while personnel covering essential services are expected to remain at their duty posts.
The state government enjoined public and civil servants to actively participate by voting in Saturday’s election.
