Sports minister John Enoh is rooting for Jose Peseiro’s return to the Super Eagles job, Arogidigba Global Journal reports.
Arogidigba Global Journal learnt from a reliable source within the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, that Enoh has already established contact with Peseiro’s representatives over his possible return to the Super Eagles.
Peseiro is also said to be open to the idea of returning to the post.
“The sports minister is in talks with Peseiro’s representatives, he wants him to return,” the source told Arogidigba Global Journal.
“Peseiro is open to returning too. The situation will become clearer in the coming days.”
The Portuguese led the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The 63-year-old left the post at the end of February following the expiration of his contract.
