The France Excellence PSL Scholarship, offered by the Université PSL aims to support students admitted to the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s in Life Sciences.
The France Excellence Scholarship is a €10,000 grant over a period of 10 months while also offering a 6-month research internship in one of the laboratories affiliated with the university.

Scholarship Details
The Graduate Program in Life Sciences of Université PSL offers a comprehensive France Excellence PSL Scholarship of advanced study and research, from the Master’s to the Doctorate, in the life sciences.
Through its association with PSL research laboratories, five Laboratories of Excellence (LabEx) and PSL’s Q-LIFE Institute, the graduate program offers Master’s degrees in which research plays a central role.
Students may also choose elective courses designed to improve their transdisciplinary skills and broaden their curriculum.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the France Excellence Scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria:
- The scholarships are open to students applying for the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s in Life Sciences
- The courses of the Integrative physiopathology track in the Master’s in Life Sciences are taught in French.
- Applicants must have scientific interests that correspond to those of the PSl Graduate Program in Life Sciences
- By accepting the scholarship, the winners must :
- conduct a 6-month research internship in one of the laboratories affiliated with the PG Life Sciences as listed in the following link
- not request an individualized development plan, except due to pathology impacting schooling.
- complete their school year.
Benefits
- The PSL Graduate Program in Life Sciences offers two merit-based scholarships to students admitted to the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s in Life Sciences – Integrative physiopathology track for the 2024/25 academic year.
- The grant consists of 1000 euros per month over 10 months. Selected candidates should conduct a 6-month research internship in one of the laboratories affiliated with the PG Life Sciences
Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- A letter of application detailing how the applicant’s scientific interests match those of the Graduate Program in Life Sciences and why the candidate would particularly need the scholarship to carry out his/her graduate studies.
- A detailed CV and transcripts from the previous year (transcripts of the last year of bachelor’s if applying for the 1st year of the Master’s in Life Sciences/ transcripts of the 1st year of the master’s if applying to the 2nd year).
- An academic letter of recommendation.
- A letter of recommendation from a scientific tutor (internship supervisor) is mandatory if applying for the 2nd year of the Master’s (optional for application for the 1st year of the Master’s).
- Other scholarships or financial aid received by the candidate must be mentioned.
