A political interest group known as the APC National Vanguard has tackled the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf for allegedly masterminding the supposed suspension of the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Arogidigba Global Journal recalls that Ganduje was suspended on Monday by his ward in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The state leadership of the party had, however, debunked the report, saying that those involved in the so-called suspension were not card-carrying members of the party.
Reacting, the APC group, in a statement signed by its convener, Alabi Toke and secretary, Makinde Kolawole, said that the attempt to sack Ganduje was a direct assault on the democratic principles of the ruling party.
The group fingered Governor Yusuf as the force behind the purported suspension.
“We implore him (Gov Yusuf) to step down if he has nothing in his head other than witch-hunting and playing divisive politics in Kano State.
“He should hand over the government to competent hands if he’s not ready to embrace following due process of justice, other than using rascality, impersonation, and manipulative tactics to fight the opposition.
“We warn those outside the APC who desperately want to rejoin the party to do so in the most honourable and civilised manner.
“Resorting to devilish, demonic, and dubious means to achieve their goals is not only unacceptable but also undermines the principles of democracy and fair play,” the group stated.
