Following the trending news of the purported suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’, the Ganduje ward chairman, Ahmad Muhammad Ganduje, alongside other leaders has dismissed the claim, describing it as concocted and impersonation.
Disclosing this on Monday evening at an emergency press briefing held at the party’s headquarters in Kano, the ward leader said that it was a concerted story that can not stand the test of time.
However, the party leader alongside twenty-seven other exco members stormed the state headquarters to exonerate themselves from the claim and also declared that they had identified the culprits and were going to take legal action against them for impersonation and defamation of character.

Muhammad therefore called on all Party members to disregard the purported suspension and remain calm.
According to him, “The attention of the Ganduje Ward Executive Committee Members and that of Dawakin Tofa Local Government has been drawn to a purported suspension of the National Chairman of the Party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by unfortunately, non-APC members in the ward.
“The Ward and Local Government Executives having identified the persons involved in this unfortunate situation, have already prepared to charge them to court for impersonation and calculated attempt to embarrass and dent the image of the Party and that of the National Chairman.”
He further stated that “Those who addressed the press conference were sponsored by the NNPP state government, and from the record of the party at the ward, local government and state, are not card-carrying members of the APC.
“The purported suspension was null and void, and would have no any effect on the National Chairman.”
It would be recalled that earlier the state leadership had announced the suspension of the said leaders involved in the plot but the leaders declared that they impersonated and never took part in the said act.
