The Premier League enters its Match Day 33 with exciting fixtures to look forward to.
The business end of the season is in full swing and teams are fighting for every single point.
It remains tight both at the top, the middle and bottom of the table, as nothing is set in stone.
So what fixtures could throw up surprise results this weekend?
1. Man City vs Luton: You already know what you will get with Luton Town. They will run and fight and chase lost causes for 90 minutes. Man City might be a bit exhausted from their 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in Spain and could have one eye on the return leg next Wednesday. This scenario could play into the hands of Rob Edwards’ men.
2. Chelsea vs Everton: Going to Stamford Bridge and picking up three points is no longer a big deal these days. Mauricio Pochettino’s men do not know what they are fighting for, while Everton are firmly in a relegation dogfight after more points were deducted from them in the last week. The Blues’ squad has been depleted by injuries and Dominic Calvin-Lewin seems to have found some form too.
3. Liverpool vs Palace: The critics will insist that Liverpool are falling apart. The Reds needed a controversial penalty to draw 2-2 with Manchester United last Sunday. There was no escape from them as Atalanta came to Anfield and thrashed Jurgen Klopp’s men 3-0 in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final. Expect more players to be rested against Palace on Sunday, as Liverpool try to save face in Europe. And this could set up an upset nicely.
4. Bournemouth vs Man Utd: There might be no shock at the Vitality Stadium in the Saturday late kick-off. Just for the simple face that Bournemouth went to Old Trafford and smashed United 3-0 in the reverse fixture. The Cherries look an assured side playing without the handbrake under Andoni Iraola. While United are still out of sorts and facing ridiculous amounts of shots every other week.
