Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, has admitted that the team’s hectic schedule as they chase a second straight treble of major trophies, has taken a toll on him.
Rodri, speaking to reporters after City’s 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal, said he was exhausted.
“Every one of us can do better, even myself, but we need to rest to be honest,” the Spaniard said.
“I do. I do need a rest.”
Rodri hasn’t tasted defeat in any of his last 66 matches for club and country.
City’s three losses in the Premier League this season – against Wolves, Arsenal and Aston Villa – all came while Rodri was suspended.
