Arsenal star, Kai Havertz has said that he was bound to prove his critics wrong.
Havertz grabbed his ninth Premier League goal against Brighon the Amex on Saturday and provided a late assist for Leandro Trossard, as the Gunners returned to the top of the Premier League.
It was also the 24-year-old’s fourth goal since Mikel Arteta moved him up top in February.
The German created four chances against Brighton – the most of any player on the pitch.
“Proving the haters wrong is part of the game. There’s always people that don’t like you or speak bad about you,” the German who joined Arsenal from Chelsea last summer said.
“I accepted it as you cannot make everyone happy. I try to make myself happy and the people that are important to me”.
